Course Details

NIHITS (NIH Integrated Training System) II is an electronic database system used by NIH staff to create training nominations, electronically route them for approvals and funds obligation, and interface with the NBS and CAS, as well as other NIH systems. This 2 hour class will provide students with an overview of the NIHITS II system.

Key Topics

• Basic understanding of NIHITS II process and how it communicates with NBS and CAS;
• How to create single and group nominations;
• Utilizing the "modify" and "authorize" function for pending nominations;
• Generating database searches throughout NIHITS (employee course histories, nominations, etc.);
• Super User Function.

The target audience for this class is NIHITS II Super Users, however anyone who creates and/or approves NIHITS nominations may benefit.
