NIH Foreign Travel (NBS Travel System) Course Number: 2605 DescriptionReceive complete instruction for preparing travel for federal employees traveling outside the continental United States. Training also includes hands-on excercises preparing travel using the NIH Business System (NBS) Travel System. You will receive a handbook you can use as a desk reference. Key Topics - Reviewing rules and regulations applicable to the foreign travel process.
- Preparing the Online Notification of ForeignTravel (NFT).
- Understanding passports and visa requirements for federal employees.
- Complying with the Fly America Act when making reservations.
- Using the NBS Travel System to enter: foreign travel orders, foreign travel vouchers and HHS-383 sponsored travel.
Audience- NIH employees (including Administrative Officers) who are thoroughly trained in domestic travel procedures.
- This course is also recommended for employees who have not received current training in rules and regulations for the past two or three years.
