As part of is ongoing commitment to enhance the quality of worklife for it employees, visitors, and patients, the Division of Amenities and Transportation Services (DATS) oversees the concession and vending programs performed by the Maryland Business Enterprise Program for the Blind (MBEPB). The MBEPB is a program that is run out of the Maryland Department of Education through the Randolph-Sheppard Act.

The MBEPB vendors operate the dining centers located in Buildings 12B, 38A, and Rockledge II. They also are responsible for the various convenience stores around the campus and the vending machine program in the large buildings.

The DATS Project Officer and Quality Assurance Specialist inspect and monitor all of the areas that the MBEPB are tenants of and ensures customer satisfaction with the MBEPB products, services and sites.
