OTT Announces a New Division Director and New Deputy Director

OTT is pleased to announce that Steven M. Ferguson, MBA will be moving into a new senior position as OTT's Deputy Director, Licensing and Entrepreneurship. Steve has worked at OTT since 1990, serving as a licensing specialist and both Deputy Director and Director of the Division of Technology Development and Transfer (DTDT).

Steve holds Master's degrees in Business Administration (George Washington University) and Chemistry (University of Cincinnati) as well as a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (Case Western Reserve University). He is a registered patent agent with the US Patent and Trademark Office.

OTT is also pleased to announce that Richard U. Rodriguez, MBA has been selected as the new Director, DTDT, OTT. Richard comes to the position with 10 years of experience working at OTT - six years as the Chief of the DTDT Cancer Branch and four years as a Technology Licensing Specialist. Prior to his arrival at NIH, Richard worked in technology transfer at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Richard received a Master's degree in Business Administration (University of Houston) and a BS in Biology (Vanderbilt University). He has been a registered patent agent with the US Patent and Trademark Office since 2000.

Richard will begin on June 8 to serve as the new Director, DTDT..
