Travel for AOs & Approving Officials (NBS) Course Number: 2608 DescriptionBecome familiar with the NIH Administrative Officer and Approving Official role in reviewing and approving Federal funds for government employees on official travel. Use the NIH Business System (NBS) Travel System to demonstrate a variety of travel situations. You will receive a handbook you can use as a desk reference. Key Topics - Applying current government rules and regulations in the funding and payment process for the following types of travel: domestic travel authorizations and vouchers, foreign authorizations and vouchers, local travel, and HHS-348 Sponsored Travel.
- Locating common errors in per diem and transportation costs.
- Using the amending process.
- Accounting for all documentation.
- Retaining requirements for audit.
Audience- Administrative Officers or their counterparts who have responsibility to review and/or approve authorizations and vouchers for travel in the NIH NBS Travel System will be accepted into this course.
- Administrative Officers or their counterparts who are responsible for reviewing, conditionally approving, approving Travel Authorizations and Vouchers on the NBS Travel System.
Special Note: It is strongly recommended that registrants attend the NIH Domestic Travel (NBS Travel System) training prior to Travel for Administrative Officers & Approving Officials.Currently accepting enrollment
