Dr. James T. Winslow
  Principal Investigator
  James Winslow, PhD, is currently the Head of NIMH IRP Neurobiology Non-Human Primate Core. He received his PhD in Psychopharmacology from Tufts University and had postdoctoral training at both NICHD and NIMH in Bethesda. After his postdoctoral training, he became a Research Associate for Hoechst-Marion-Roussel and then an Associate Professor at Yerkes Regional Primate Research Center at Emory University.

Pam Noble
  Projects Manager
  Pam joined the Winslow lab in 2000 at the Yerkes National Research Center where she worked as the Project Manager for the Silvo O. Conte Center for Neuroscience for Mental Illness. Her previous experience includes graduate coursework in Experimental Psychology including implementing a project on orangutan use of habitat space at Georgia Institute of Technology. She has also held internships with The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International and the ChimpanZoo Program of the Jane Goodall Institute. Pam earned a B.A. with honors from the University of Arizona in 1999 with a double major in Anthropology and Psychology. She is currently pursuing an MBA.

Sheila Sterk
  Animal Husbandry Manager
  Training in the United States Army as a Medic and Behavioral Science Specialist led to a B.S. in Psychology and Sociology from Georgia State University in 1996. Sheila began her non human primate/research career with Emory University at the Yerkes National Primate Research Center where she gained extensive experience in all aspects of non-human primate care, clinical/surgical intervention, observation and research data collection. She has held the position of Animal Care Technician I.II,III, Animal Care Supervisor, Veterinary Technician, Research Specialist with the Reproductive Biology Department, Lead and Senior Research Specialist with the Psychobiology Department. She is currently the Animal Husbandry Manager with the NIMH IRP Neurobiology Primate Core.

Kathryn Knowlson
  Research Specialist
  Kathryn graduated from Emory University in 2003 with a B.S. in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology. As an undergraduate student, she worked in Dr. Winslow’s lab at the Yerkes National Primate Research Center. In this position, she primarily assisted in studies for the Silvo O. Conte Center for Neuroscience of Mental Illness. She has also worked as a behavioral therapist for a child with autism and as an educational outreach intern at the Center for Behavioral Neuroscience in Atlanta.
