The NIH Office of Extramural Research (OER) is committed to providing an open environment that promotes personal interactions with all segments of the research community.   • NIH Institutes, Centers and Offices Calendars of Events
    Each NIH Institute, Center and Office regularly hold workshops and meetings that are open to the public. This site links to calendars of events for each NIH component.

  • NIH Calendar of Events
    The NIH Calendar of Events (or "Yellow Sheet") lists NIH-sponsored meetings and other meetings of interest to both employees and the general public. It is updated continually. All meeting listed are free and open to the public.

  • NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts
    Policy announcements, funding opportunities, and some meetings and workshops are announced to the public through the NIH Guide to Grants and Contracts. Additions to the NIH Guide are published daily and indexed weekly.

  • Federal Demonstration Partnership Link to Non-U.S. Government Site - Click for Disclaimer
    NIH is a very active member of the Federal Demonstration Partnership (FDP). The FDP is a cooperative initiative among federal agencies and institutional recipients of federal funds. It was established to increase research productivity by streamlining administrative processes and minimizing administrative burden on principal investigators while maintaining effective stewardship of federal funds. FDP typically meets three times a year, and meetings are open to the public.

  • Grants Information (GrantsInfo)
    GrantsInfo is a communication service of the Division of Extramural Outreach and Information Resources, Office of Reports and Analysis, OER. GrantsInfo provides general information to the biomedical research community about the NIH extramural research and research training programs, grant application procedures and process, and how to obtain the NIH GUIDE and other information on the NIH web site. In addition, GrantsInfo is the contact point for organizations to request application kits and forms.

Professional Societies

NIH regularly presents topics and provides faculty for workshops and seminars on grant-related topics hosted by various professional organizations.
