GoMiner System Requirements

The following are absolutely necessary in order to use GoMiner™.

Computer with java 1.5 or higher installed. The application has been tested on Windows 98, NT, 2000 and XP and on Mac OS X (10.4 or greater).
High speed internet connection. If your connection is too slow, you can configure GoMiner to use a local database instead. See this page to choose the right database configuration.

The following extend the capabilities of GoMiner, but are not needed for the basic functions.

A web browser with SVG capability, most commonly Internet Explorer with the Adobe SVG plug-in or Firefox. Note that a few of the SVG features do not work Safari.
Cn3D 4.1 or higher, as a web browser helper application for viewing NCBI molecular structures. See NCBI Cn3D Viewer Installation.

GoMiner was originally developed jointly by the Genomics and Bioinformatics Group (GBG) of LMP, NCI, NIH and the Medical Informatics and Bioimaging group of BME, Georgia Tech/Emory University. It is now maintained and under continuing development by GBG.
