Cancer Chromosome Aberration Project (CGAP)

Description:
An initiative to integrate cytogenetic and physical maps of the human genome. Bacterial Artificial Chromosomes (BAC) clones, mapped at a resolution of 1-2 MB across all human chromosomes, will be part of a database designed to:

  • Provide access to clone information
  • Provide seamless linkage to primary nucleotide sequences
  • Supply a platform for correlation with parallel databases of cancer-associated chromosome aberrations and clinical histopathological information
BAC clones can be purchased from Open Biosystems, Huntsville, AL http://www.openbiosystems.com/
