Standard Agent Database

The list of compounds designated standard agents was originally determined by Boyd (2). He chose 175 drugs with cancer treatment New Drug Applications or Investigational New Drug Applications as well as compounds that had reached a particular high stage of interest at the NCI in recent years for the list. A database, which will be referred to as the standard agent database, was created by averaging the results of multiple tests with each of 171 of these agents. NSC numbers and common names for the standard agents are provided in the Standard Agent List.
