Fellowships and Positions – Clinical Fellowship Programs

A few examples of clinical training opportunities in CCR :

  • ACGME Clinical Residency in Anatomic Pathology - offers training and research opportunities in anatomic pathology, emphasizing the art of establishing clinical correlations to disease mechanism.
  • ACGME Medical Oncology Fellowship - provides broad translational research training in medical oncology for 3 years. Fellows may opt for an additional 4th year to participate in the combined hematology - oncology program, in conjunction with the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI).

    Current areas of research emphasis include lymphomas, Hodgkin's disease, breast cancer, prostate cancer, ovarian cancer, acute leukemia, new drug testing, bone marrow transplantation, and AIDS and its associated malignancies. There is close collaboration with related clinical units in the NIH Clinical Center such as radiation oncology and surgery.
  • ACGME Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship - pairs the strength of the Department of Pediatric Oncology at Johns Hopkins University's at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center in Baltimore, Maryland with and the NCI Pediatric Oncology Branch to prepare researchers adept in laboratory and/or clinical research in this area.
