Reducing Barriers to Symptom Management and Palliative Care

The Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS) supports research projects through a variety of mechanisms -- investigator initiated, program announcements (PA/PAR), requests for applications (RFA), requests for proposals (RFP) – within the United States and internationally. This website provides tables and maps showing the number of grants and dollars awarded in response to this announcement; as well as links to detailed information about each award.

RFAs are issued to invite grant applications in a scientific area to stimulate activity in NCI programmatic priority areas. Specific receipt dates are associated with the announcement. To learn more about initiatives currently open in DCCPS visit http://dccps.cancer.gov/funding_apply.html.

Click on each state’s hyperlink in the table or on the map to learn more about each initiative (funded investigators, publications etc.). Maps showing the location of the different research sites by initiative can be viewed either by the number of grants or by awarded dollars as well as by state/territory, county or congressional district.

This site is best viewed with a resolution of 1024x768 (or higher). To print the map right click on the map and choose the print option, then set your printer to the landscape page layout.
