PDQ Cancer Clinical Trials Registry

Description:
NCI's PDQ Cancer Clinical Trials Registry provides trial descriptions for patients and health professionals for cancer clinical trials conducted in the US and internationally. The registry also includes information about sites where the trials are being conducted and is searchable by cancer type, intervention, geographic location, and other key parameters. The Registry enables NCI, its grantees, and other sponsors to meet regulatory requirements for the Food and Drug Modernization Act of 1997, and the requirements of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors for clinical trial registration by providing trials to the National Library of Medicine's ClinicalTrials.gov database. As of April 2006, PDQ includes more than 3,500 active clinical trials and 15,000 closed trials. PDQ also includes links to published results of clinical trials in PUBMED. In addition to being a resource to facilitate patient accrual to clinical trials, PDQ is also used as a resource by researchers for meta-analysis of clinical trials.
