Fellowships & Positions

The Center for Cancer Research (CCR), National Cancer Institute (NCI), is committed to supporting and training the next generation of cancer researchers, helping launch careers in basic/translational and clinical cancer research. The CCR and NCI offer a research environment that is second-to-none in quality of science and quality of life. All traineeships are intended to increase the number of scientists and physicians who specialize in basic, translational, or clinical biomedical research.

Our Mission:

To inform and empower the entire cancer research community by making breakthrough discoveries in basic and clinical cancer research and by developing them into novel therapeutic interventions for adults and children afflicted with cancer or infected with HIV

Basic/Translational Training
  • NCI and CCR offer training opportunities for postdoctoral and postbaccalaureate graduates, college undergraduates, and high-school students in fields such as biotechnology, informatics, cancer epidemiology and genetics, cancer prevention, comparative molecular pathology, chemistry, urologic oncology, technology transfer, and MORE . . .
Clinical Training
  • Clinical training opportunities are available in anatomic pathology, medical oncology, pediatric hematology/oncology, surgical oncology, urologic oncology, and MORE . . .
  • New Clinical Investigator Development Program – This recently launched CCR program will provide protected time and resources to selected, eligible clinicians to assist them in developing independent translational research programs.
