Synchrotron X-ray Crystallography Beamline for Macromolecular Structure Determination
Description:
Providing dedicated access for NCI researchers to a state-of-the-art synchrotron X-ray beamline for determining cancer relevant macromolecular structures using X-ray crystallography. The facility is located at the Advanced Photon Source of Argonne National Laboratory.
- Extremely bright light source
- Broadly tunable energy range suitable for anomalous diffraction experiments from a wide range of scatterers
- Microfocused beam coupled to a highly refined crystal visualization system suitable for extremely small crystals
- Extremely coherent x-rays and kappa geometry that maximize accessible data collection strategies
- Fully automated crystal mounting system for rapid sample screening
