Minutes from the Industry Advisory Council Meeting: May 21, 1998

There was an Industry Advisory Council meeting held May 21st at the NITAAC facilities at 6011 Executive Blvd. The following is a list of attendees, their companies, and which contract they represent (if applicable):

Dr. Lee (NITAAC), Marie Monsees (NITAAC), Jeffrey Westerhoff (SRA - CIO-SP), Laurie Maisel (Presidio - ECS2), Stuart Kramer (Multimax - chair), Elmer Sembly (NITAAC), Everett Carpenter (NITAAC) and Pam Stearman (Intermetrics - CIO-SP).

Marie Monsees and Dr. Lee spoke about the new DOT/ NIH relationship, currently being finalized. The benefit to DOT for using our contract is for equipment purchases while the benefit for us is that ITOP provides another agency to handle the mipering of money. All details of the agreement will be distributed by Marie as soon as it is complete. Marie also plans to talk about the relationship at the next contractors' meeting (see below for meeting details).

NITAAC is planning to have a joint contractors' meeting June 8th. The announcement of the meeting will be posted on the web and Elmer Sembly will be contacting all vendors with details of the meeting. Some of the agenda items will include: the ITOP agreement, clarification regarding the preference language removal, new contract dollar maximums for CIO-SP and Image World, leasing, and a demo of a centralized NITAAC delivery order system for ECS II and Image World contracts only. There also will be presentations of the IAC's new charter, introduction of Marie's new staff, and general status of all three contracts.

It has been decided that the vendor preference line be removed from all task orders for CIO-SP and Image World. An e-mail from NITAAC will be coming out shortly describing this change.

There is an AFCEA breakfast on June 15th. If you haven't been getting the invitation flyers, please let AFCEA or NITAAC know.

Our next IAC meeting is on June 18th. If you have any questions or comments you would like addressed in the IAC meetings or to be put on the contractors' meeting agenda, please let your IAC representative know asap.
