Process Name Textiles Manufacturing Description Carding is the major source of dust in the textile plant. Carding removes most of the hazardous trash dust from the cotton fibers. Rayon production exposes workers to carbon disulfide. Control of this hazard is difficult because of the nature of the operations and the high vapor pressure of carbon disulfide.
