Rubber skin allergies are due to either the rubber additives (allergic contact dermatitis) or the latex (contact urticaria). Rubber allergens include the five rubber mixes used in the routine screening tray for patch testing: 1) thiuram mix, 2) mercaptobenzothiazole, 3) Carba mix, 4) black rubber mix, and 5) mercapto mix. Each of the five mixes is listed separately in this database. |
