Gene & Protein Expression

 

Microarray Facilities

• Supports gene expression profiling of the nervous system using microarray technology. Provides reagents, services, and training to the neuroscience community on a fee-for-service basis.

• Samples from multiple tissues across the rodent life span are provided on a single slide.

Gene Expression Databases

• An ongoing contract to map gene expression in the mouse nervous system by generating mice whose endogenous genes have been replaced with eGFP reporter genes.
• All transgenic mice are deposited into NCRR's Mutant Mouse Regional Resource Centers.

• A project that uses Massively Parallel Signature Sequencing (MPSS) to map the gender-specific expression of mRNA transcripts in a variety of adult mouse tissues.

Antibodies

• Generates low-cost antibodies for the study of proteins found in mammalian brain.
