TOOLS

All the NCI tools presented on the CGAP web site are listed below, organized by biological function. The same tools are listed alphabetically on the left side bar.

Tools to Find Genes

Clone Finder Generates a list of the most relaible clones from a list of UniGene clusters.
Gene Finder Finds genes based on various search criteria and links to gene information from NCBI and NCI databases.
Batch Gene Finder Finds genes from a list of UniGene cluster numbers, GenBank accessions, or LocusLink identifiers, and links to gene information from NCBI and NCI databases.
GO Browser Classifies human and mouse genes by molecular function, biological process, and cellular component.
Nucleotide BLAST Finds genes based on nucleotide sequence similarities.

Tools to Find cDNA Libraries

cDNA Library Finder Finds EST libraries based on selected criteria. Library construction details are also provided.
SAGE Absolute Level Lister Lists all SAGE Genie libraries.

Tools to Examine Gene Expression

cDNA Digital Gene Expression Displayer (DGED) Distinguishes statistically significant differences in gene expression profiles between two pools of cDNA libraries.
cDNA xProfiler Compares gene expression between two pools of cDNA libraries.
Gene Library Sorter (GLS) Generates unique and non-unique gene lists for single cDNA library or library group.
SAGE Absolute Level Lister Shows the distribution of transcript expression levels in any particular SAGE library.
SAGE Anatomic Viewer Visually displays the relative expression of a given gene in normal and malignant tissues throughout the human body. .
SAGE Digital Gene Expression Diplayer Distinguishes significant differences in gene expression profiles between two pools of SAGE libraries.

Tools to Examine Chromosomes

Expression-Based SNP Imagemaps Find SNPs based on cancer type and chromosome.
FISH-mapped BACs Find BAC clones, available to the public, that integrate the cytogenetic and physical maps of the human genome.
Genetic and Physical SNP Maps Show genetic and physical locations of confirmed, validated, and predicted SNPs.
Mitelman Database CGAP has developed web-based tools to search the Mitelman Database (a genome-wide map of chromosomal breakpoints in human cancer).
Recurrent Aberrations CGAP has developed a tool to search the Mitelamn data of Recurrent Aberrations in cancer.
SNP500Cancer Finds SNPs that are of immediate importance to molecular epidemiology studies in cancer.

Tools to Find SNPs

CGAP SNP Index Searches for candidate SNPs by gene name, gene symbol, or GenBank accession number.
Expression-Based SNP Imagemaps Find SNPs based on cancer type and chromosome.
Genetic and Physical SNP Maps Show genetic and physical locations of confirmed, validated, and predicted SNPs.
SNP Gene Viewer View maps of SNPs on human reference sequences and MGC sequences, with predictions of protein coding changes.
SNP500Cancer Finds SNPs that are of immediate importance to molecular epidemiology studies in cancer.
