     Fort Valley, GA-A strong defensive effort in the second half allowed the Fort Valley State University Lady Wildcats to break open a close game and earn their ninth win of the season by defeating Claflin University’s Pantherettes 71-53. The Lady Wildcats’ record now stands at 9-4 overall, 8-0 in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference while Claflin drops to 8-7 overall, 6-7 in league action.

     Fort Valley State game conference frontrunner Claflin a huge scare, but fell short in overtime 68-65.  With the loss, Fort Valley State falls to 5-6 overall, 5-3 in the SIAC.  Claflin improves to 13-1 overall and 13-1 in the conference.

     Fort Valley, GA-Kendra Evans scored 22 points and Shekiya Tarpkins and Takesha Riggs each scored in douible figures to lead the Fort Valley State  Lady Wildcats to a 65-58 win over the Lady Rams of Albany State.  With the win, the Lady Wildcats improve to 8-4 overall and 7-0 in the SIAC.  Albany State falls to 4-8 overall, 3-4 in league action.

     Frankfort, KY-In a battle of conference unbeatens, the Fort Valley University Lady Wildcats prevailed over the Thorobrettes of Kentucky State University 61-51 Tuesday night at the Exum Center. Fort Valley State improves to 6-4 overall and 5-0 in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference while Kentucky State falls to 6-3 overall, 5-1 in league play.
