Transportation Subsidy Program

What is the Transportation Subsidy Program?

In April 2000, the Census Bureau Headquarters Partnership Council implemented a Transportation Subsidy Program. President Clinton signed an Executive Order directing federal agencies to provide transportation subsidies to federal employees working in the National Capital Region. The subsidy program was modified in conjunction with this Executive Order. The revised Program document is available for reference.

The Census Headquarters Transportation Subsidy Program provides Metrocheks to cover monthly public transportation commuting costs up to $100. The program will distribute Metrocheks to participants on a quarterly basis.
