DC Vote Proposal is Unconstitutional

Washington, D.C. – Today, the Constitution subcommittee held a hearing on H.R. 157, a bill to grant D.C. residents a member of Congress who can vote on the House floor. Bill Prohibits Release of Gitmo Detainees into U.S.
Washington, D.C. – House Republicans today introduced legislation to prohibit federal courts from ordering the release or transfer of Gitmo detainees into the U.S. The Enemy Combatant Detention Review Act (H.R. 630) establishes clear rules regarding the detention of known terrorists.
