United States Capitol
The Congress welcomes visitors year-round. Find out how you can schedule tours and watch government in action.
Supreme Court
The Supreme Court offers a variety of educational programs. Exhibits, which are changed periodically, and a theater, where a film on the Supreme Court is shown.
Library of Congress

White House

Pentagon
Headquarters of the Department of Defense, the Pentagon is one of the world’s largest office buildings. Tours are conducted by military men and women volunteers assigned to the five armed services’ ceremonial units in the Washington, D.C, area.

Department of State
The Diplomatic Reception Rooms of the Department of State are open for pre-arranged tours at no charge. These rooms hold a premier collection of 18th century American furniture, paintings and decorative arts.
Bureau of Engraving and Printing
You’ll see millions of dollars being printed during a tour of the BEP. The tour features the various steps of currency production, beginning with large, blank sheets of paper, and ending with wallet-ready bills!
Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
Take a free tour and see the Hall of States and Hall of Nations, the Center’s main theaters, and dozens of paintings, sculptures, and other artworks given to the Center by foreign countries.
The Smithsonian Institution
