The Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt Institute 20th Century Political History Prize

The prize is for the study of political history during the Roosevelt era and is awarded to an outstanding student project in any category in both senior and junior divisions. Applicable projects include those on Franklin or Eleanor Roosevelt, the study of WWI, the Great Depression, the New Deal, WWII, the United Nations, the Cold War, Civil Rights and Human Rights.

outstanding entry whose research and presentation relate to aspects
of the life and times of George C. Marshall, including World War

Cold War, the Marshall Plan, women and minorities in the military,
the American Red Cross, and other issues of military and diplomatic
history, and the social consequences thereof, in the first half
of
the 20th century.

education program focuses on educating teachers and their students
about the history of the Holocaust and the significance of altruistic

two projects in either junior or senior divisions, in any category.
These outstanding entries demonstrate excellence in the study
or presentation of Irish/Irish-American History.
The AOH is the oldest, largest and most prominent Irish Catholic
fraternal organization in the nation.
It was founded in New York City in 1816 and presently has
a membership that exceeds 100,000.
The medals awarded with this prize are in honor of Commodore
John Barry, USN (1745-1803), who was a native of Ireland and Father
of the U.S. Navy.
