This country owes a huge debt to the men and women who fought to protect it.  We must keep our promises of health care benefits to America’s military retirees.

That is why I am co-sponsoring the Keep Our Promise to America’s Military Retirees Act, H.R. 1222.  This important legislation will allow retirees and their family members the option to participate in the Federal Employee's Health Benefit Program. 

I look forward to working with the members of the House Veterans Affairs Committee to improve the TRICARE program for all our military retirees so that the broken trust with military retirees is restored.
