One of my top priorities is to pay tribute to those who have fought, and those who continue to fight, to guarantee that our country remains a free, democratic and independent nation.  The Army is essential to the security and stability of our great nation and we should honor that tradition. That’s why I am co-sponsoring the United States Army Commemorative Coin Act of 2008.

This bill instructs the Secretary of the Treasury to mint and issue $5 gold coins, $1 silver coins, and half dollar coins that reflect the traditions and the heritage of the United States Army.  Thank you for supporting our troops and veterans.
