The recent mass recall of meat produced in California has caused many to question the way recalls are handled. We have a good system in place but there is room for improvement. Making sure the food we eat is safe is a top priority for me and consumers have a right to know when they have purchased tainted meat and produce products.
Several bills have been introduced that would change the way the current system works. I will follow this situation closely as Congress continues to debate food safety issues.
