Nuclear imaging provides a way to gather medical information that would otherwise be unavailable without more invasive procedures. These technologies can also detect abnormalities early in the progression of diseases.

As a member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee that makes funding decisions for energy programs, I will advocate strongly for funding for nuclear medicine research as the House and Senate negotiate the final Energy and Water spending bill.
