Folks that own recreational boats should not be forced to purchase expensive permits to continue enjoying our waterways.  I have signed on as a co-sponsor to the Recreational Boating Act of 2007.  This legislation would reinstate a 34 year old exemption to the Clean Water Act for non-harmful discharges that occur during the normal operation of boats. I will continue to working with my colleagues to make sure this needed legislation is passed.
