Many folks have been hit hard by unfair competition from low wages in foreign countries. My heart goes out to all those who are losing their jobs at Lazy Boy.

We should not outsource jobs overseas. Free trade at all costs is a losing proposition. More should be done to protect American workers and support regional economic development in Tennessee. We have to insist that companies cut costs without outsourcing workers or bringing them in from overseas! Some people think it is inevitable that certain American jobs will go offshore, but we have to fight to keep them at home. They are the lifeblood of our economy.
