Reach Out Now Teach-In
Reach Out Now Teach-In is a public education initiative that provides communities nationwide with lesson plans, talking points, and planning resources to educate fifth and sixth graders about the risks of underage alcohol use. The Teach-Ins occur during one week each April, in recognition of Alcohol Awareness Month.

Building Blocks for a Healthy Future
Building Blocks for a Healthy Future is an early childhood substance abuse prevention program developed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) that educates parents and caregivers about the basics of prevention in order to promote a healthy lifestyle. Designed for parents and caregivers of children ages 3 to 6, Building Blocks will help you open up the lines of communication with young children—and make it easier to keep those lines of communication open as they grow older.

Caring for Every Child's Mental Health Campaign
The Caring for Every Child's Mental Health communications campaign began as a national public information and education campaign to 1) increase public awareness about the importance of protecting and nurturing the mental health of young people; 2) foster recognition that many children have mental health problems that are real, painful, and sometimes severe; and 3) encourage caregivers to seek early, appropriate treatment and services. The campaign helps families, educators, health care providers, and young people recognize mental health problems and to seek or recommend appropriate services. It also strives to reduce the stigma associated with mental health problems.

Too Smart To Start
Too Smart To Start is a public education initiative that provides research-based strategies and materials to professionals and volunteers at the community level to help them conduct an underage alcohol use prevention initiative. The materials are designed to educate 9- to 13-year-olds about the harms of alcohol use and to support parents and caregivers as they participate in their children’s activities.

Girl Power!
Girl Power! helps encourage and motivate 9- to 13-year-old girls to make the most of their lives. Girls at 8 or 9 typically have strong attitudes about their health, so Girl Power! seeks to reinforce and sustain these positive values among girls ages 9 to 13 by targeting health messages to the unique needs, interests, and challenges of girls.
