Royce Congratulates the City of Orange

Washington, Nov 16, 2006 - Royce congratulates the city of Orange on being included in the top 25 safest cities in America. In a survey recently released by Morgan Quitno Press, Orange was ranked the 24th safest city in the United States. The survey compiled data on six major crimes and compared them with national averages to determine their rankings. Orange County had a total of 9 cities that made it into the 'Top 25 Safest Cities in America,' by far the most of any county in the United States.

The City of Orange comprises an important part of Rep. Royce's 40th district. With a population of 136,578, this city gives the 40th district a personality all its own. Although, much like the rest of Orange County, the City of Orange is no longer dominated by orange groves, the business community has managed to diversify from antique shops to fortune 500 companies without losing its small town charm. The city of Orange provides the 40th district with an easy-going atmosphere and the comforts of suburban living coupled with the dynamic business opportunities of a major metropolitan area.
