BONO MACK COMMENDS ISRAEL’S 60TH YEAR
Joins colleagues in introducing and passing resolution in support of Israel Statehood


Washington, Apr 23, 2008 - Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack (CA-45) today applauded House passage of H.Con.Res. 322, recognizing the State of Israel’s 60th anniversary and commending the nation’s continued commitment to democracy. The sovereign and independent State of Israel was established on May 14, 1948. Bono Mack joined her colleagues in introducing this legislation passed today by a vote of 417-0. Bono Mack issued the following statement:

“I commend the State of Israel and her people for their unwavering commitment to our shared values of democracy, peace and freedom,” said Bono Mack. “This great nation has triumphed over significant challenges and unspeakable hardship, and stands tall as a symbol of strength, hope, and liberty in the world. I am proud to join my colleagues in congratulating the State of Israel on her 60th anniversary, and all that follow.”
