Cancer. It’s a disease no woman wants to face, but chances are, one out of every three women will have to face it at some point in her lifetime.

But science is on the move. And breakthroughs in research and therapies are offering unprecedented hope. The University of Nebraska Medical Center is leading the way in discovering new treatments, advances, and even preventive measures for the many different types of cancer that women face.  Nationally and internationally renowned experts here are getting closer every day to discoveries that could change the landscape of cancer treatment forever.

Hear about some of these important discoveries at this year’s UNMC Mini-Medical School, brought to you in partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska.  During this three-week program, participants will learn about everything from the latest clinical trials to symptom management. They will also learn more about the research showing how wellness really does make a difference in lowering cancer risk.
