Brown Announces New Chief of Staff

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced Mark Powden as his new chief of staff. Since 2007, Mr. Powden has served as Senator Brown’s senior policy advisor focusing on budget, tax, and financial services issues. Mr. Powden has more than two-decades experience in public service, including serving as the staff director for the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee under Senator Jim Jeffords. Originally from Peacham, Vermont, he lives in Washington with his wife and two sons.
