Actress Cheryl Hines presents Senator Tom Harkin with an award from United Cerebral Palsy in honor of his longstanding advocacy for Americans with disabilities. Harkin was the chief sponsor of the Americans with Disabilities Act, landmark legislation which provides equality of opportunity, full participation, independent living, and economic self-sufficiency for millions of Americans with physical and intellectual disabilities.
