Sen. Cornyn Announces YouTube Channel Debut
“Whether it’s floor speeches, committee hearings or interviews, I look forward to communicating with Texans and all Americans via YouTube”
Tuesday, January 13, 2009
WASHINGTON—U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, today announced the launch of his YouTube Senate channel, which is available at http://www.youtube.com/SenJohnCornyn. This follows Congress’ recent approval of rules in relation to posting content to third party websites.
“I’m proud to announce the launch of my YouTube channel, which will serve as an important vehicle to keep viewers informed about issues and legislation being discussed right here in our nation’s capital. One of my top priorities is ensuring that the government is more transparent and accountable to the American people. YouTube is another way we can shed more light on the government and provide a forum for discussion. Whether it’s floor speeches, committee hearings or interviews, I look forward to communicating with Texans and all Americans via YouTube,” Sen. Cornyn said.
Sen. Cornyn’s channel debut coincides with the launch of official Congressional and Senatorial YouTube channels. The Senate Hub is available at http://youtube.com/senatehub; the House Hub can be found by visiting http://youtube.com/househub.
