Operation Iraqi Freedom
Calling on American troops to risk their lives defending our nation is the single most difficult choice a member of Congress can face. It is a topic Ginny has grappled with constantly as a concerned lawmaker, citizen, and a woman of principle.
Since coming to Congress, Ginny has been presented with classified information about the situation in Iraq. She is briefed often on the progress our troops are making in Operation Iraqi Freedom. This mission is just and the United States will prevail.
Because of the bravery of the United States and Coalition forces, the brutality of a despotic dictator has ended. The people of Iraq have approved a new constitution and have elected democratic leaders of their own. Our military action will send a loud and clear message to the world’s terrorists.
History has proven that freedom is our most precious asset. Something of such great worth will never come without a cost. This war is about insuring America’s security and freeing the Iraqi people. Ginny knows that every Floridian joins her in commending the courage and leadership of our men and women in uniform during this critical time.
