Senator Lautenberg joins Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA), National Air Traffic Controllers Association President Patrick Forrey, Transportation Trades Department President Ed Wytkind and Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) to support the passage of the FAA reauthorization bill that is before the Senate. The bill would reauthorize all aviation programs for three years and provide more than $9 billion for air traffic control upgrades and $12 billion for airport infrastructure improvements. The bill also addresses safety concerns both in the air and on the ground and requires airlines to have backup plans for substantial delays. (April 30, 2008)
