Sen. Cornyn Congratulates President-elect Obama and Family on Historic Inauguration

WASHINGTON—U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, today issued the following statement regarding the Inauguration of Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States:
“The Inauguration of President Barack Obama is a monumental achievement in our nation’s history and a cause for pride for all Americans. I look forward to celebrating this historic event with my family, friends and fellow Texans in Washington. I congratulate the new president and his family, and I look forward to working with him and his team to advance the priorities of all Texans, strengthen our freedoms, and make America a safer and more prosperous nation.”
