MARTINEZ: LAND SALE COMPLETE FOR ORLANDO VA HOSPITAL

U.S. Senator Mel Martinez (R-FL) today commended the completed land sale at what will now be the site for the new Veterans Affairs Hospital in Orlando.

“Florida’s veterans are anxious to see this facility built and come on line. I’m happy the sale has closed and development can continue,” said Martinez. “The hospital is already under design and federal money is in the pipeline. This is my top veterans priority and I commend the VA for completing this sale and look forward to the continued progress.”

The sale includes 65.9 acres at the Lake Nona Development. The site will include a 134-bed hospital, a 118-bed nursing home, a 60-bed domiciliary, an outpatient clinic, a veterans benefits mini service center, and patient and visitor parking.
