WASHINGTON- Congressman Lee Terry (R-NE) today issued the following statement honoring Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr.:

“I encourage all Americans to pause today to remember and honor the life of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.  He was man who worked for reconciliation and unity for our country.  Today, on the eve of our first African American President taking office, which is a milestone that makes us all proud, the memory and achievements of Dr. King have special meaning.”
