|||||
Monroe County, Florida --- Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen is very pleased that Monroe County homeless projects will receive a significant increase in Federal funds. Monroe County homeless service providers have been granted a total of $458, 148 under the Department of Housing Development's (HUD) Supportive Housing Program for 2006, an increase of $282,269 over 2005. MARC House will receive $102,269.00; Catholic Charities will receive $180,000.00; and the Florida Keys Outreach Coalition will receive $175,879.00. Said Ros-Lehtinen, "I am thrilled that in a tough budget year, such as this one, we were able to get these federal funds for an important cause as helping the homeless residents of Monroe County. This was a unified effort of the Florida Congressional Delegation and it demonstrates once again the good things that can be accomplished for our constituents through bi-partisan cooperation." ### |
