Washington, D.C--Today, Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen received a letter from Keys elected officials in appreciation of the Congresswoman’s efforts to secure funding for the Florida Keys Wastewater Project in the Administration’s upcoming budget request. According to the letter, co-signed by the Mayors of Monroe County, Key West, Marathon, Islamorada and Chairman of the Key Largo Wastewater Treatment District: “We very much appreciate the commitment of your office to help us save and protect the coral reefs of the Florida Keys National Marne Sanctuary.”

Said Ros-Lehtinen: “I am sincerely grateful for support given to me by Keys local leaders on this important initiative. I look forward to continuing my partnership with the members of our Keys community to ensure that Federal funds are provided to the Keys wastewater project in order to maintain the cleanliness and environmental integrity of our precious marine ecosystems.”
