Miami Beach, Florida ---- Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, senior member of the Florida Congressional Delegation, will meet this Sunday, August 3 with residents of Bal Harbour regarding the rapidly eroding beaches in the community and tour some of the beach erosion sites. Staff from the Army Corps of Engineers will also be present at the meeting.

Congresswoman Ros-Lehtinen sent a letter to the Army Corps asking them to expedite the permitting process for a beach re-nourishment project in the area and she is committed to seeing this through to a successful completion.

The meeting with the residents will take place this Sunday, August 3 at a private home in Bal Harbour but there will be a press availability at 12:15 PM in the lobby of the building, located at 9801 Collins Avenue, Bal Harbour. Press can also accompany the Congresswoman and the residents during their inspection of the eroded beach sites.
