Miami, Florida ---- Tomorrow Saturday June 21st, Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, a senior member of the Florida Congressional Delegation, will speak before the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Goals Conference on the economic challenges facing South Florida. Ros-Lehtinen will then tour the Coconut Grove Post office and hold a public meeting with Grove residents and United States Postal Service (USPS) officials regarding the Coconut Grove post office facility.

At 9:30 AM tomorrow Saturday, Congresswoman Ros-Lehtinen will speak before the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Goals Conference on the challenges faced by the American economy as it faces the triple threat of tighter credit, deflating home prices and rising energy and food costs. This gathering of small business leaders, and staff and officials from the University of Miami and Baptist Hospital will also hear Ros-Lehtinen tout the legislative projects she has supported to help working families make it through these trying times. The Chamber’s Annual Goals Conference will take place tomorrow at 9:30 AM at the Biltmore Hotels American Ampitheater. The Biltmore is located at 1200 Anastasia Avenue, Coral Gables. 

At 11:15 AM, Ros-Lehtinen will hold a public meeting with residents of Coconut Grove and officials from the USPS over conditions at the Coconut Grove postal facility and also regarding the facility’s decision to cut down Mahogany and Oak trees to make way for a parking lot. The public meeting will take place at 11:15 AM at the City of Miami’s N.E.T. office located at the Glass House in Peacock Park at 2820 McFarlane Road, Coconut Grove. Ros-Lehtinen will also visit the Grove facility and tour the grounds prior to the public meeting.
