Congressman Watt Schedules 11th Annual “Trading Places”
Wednesday, August 1, 2007
Congressman Melvin L. Watt (D-NC) has scheduled his 11th Annual “Trading Places” District work period for August 6th through August 8th.  Rep. Watt will work alongside citizens in communities throughout the 12th Congressional District to hear the concerns and opinions of everyday people about the impact that recent legislation passed in Congress has had on their lives.  During these three days, Congressman Watt will work side by side with his constituents at jobsites including a S.H.A.R.E. (Self-Help and Rewarded Efforts) of North Carolina construction site, Red Cross blood bank, vineyard, credit union, Goodwill of Rowan County job resource center, homeless shelter and 911 call center.  This is one of his many efforts to reach his constituents, listen to their concerns and, ultimately, to take their views back to Washington.

Rep. Watt said: "As always, I look forward to interacting with the citizens of the 12th District to hear and experience their perspectives.  Working alongside my constituents and discussing their concerns provides an excellent first-hand opportunity for me to understand their needs and how I can serve them best in Washington."
