MARTINEZ: MARY SCRIVEN CONFIRMED AS JUDGE TO THE U.S. DISTRICT COURT FOR THE MIDDLE DISTRICT OF FLORIDA
U.S. Senator Mel Martinez (R-FL) today announced that the U.S. Senate has confirmed Magistrate Judge Mary Scriven to serve as a judge on the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.“Magistrate Judge Mary Scriven is an outstanding attorney and a committed public servant,” said Martinez. “She reflects the necessary attributes of a jurist – intelligence, honesty, and even-handedness. Judge Scriven will make a fine United States District Judge.”
Judge Mary Scriven was nominated for the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida on July 10, 2008. Since December 1997, she served as a Federal Magistrate Judge in the Middle District of Florida.
