This cut will bring Yucca’s budget to $288.4 million for the year, a figure drastically lower than the nearly $500 million former President George W. Bush requested. That’s where the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) comes in. Called Nevada Check-Up in our state, CHIP ensures that children can see a doctor when they need one.
